Sheboygan Falls drive-by shooting kills Canadian man
The man was visiting from Canada when he was fatally shot

SHEBOYGAN FALLS — A Canadian national was shot and killed in a drive-by shooting early Wednesday morning in Downtown Sheboygan Falls.
The Sheboygan Falls Police Department responded to the shooting on Monroe Street near Broadway Street at approximately 12:08 AM on Wednesday, September 24th. When officers arrived, they found a 32-year-old man laying near the railroad tracks in front of Brickner Woolen Mills Apartments. Despite life-saving efforts, the man was pronounced deceased at the scene. WKTS News was the only media outlet on the scene as first responders loaded the victim into an ambulance.

According to Police Chief Aaron Wigen, the victim was shot by an unknown individual driving a vehicle. The suspect vehicle is only described as a small, dark colored SUV. Limited details are being released to maintain the integrity of the ongoing criminal investigation. The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office as well as the Kohler Police Department responded to the scene to assist Sheboygan Falls Police.
“The Sheboygan Falls Police Department is actively investigating this incident,” said Wigen. “Officers are working diligently to gather evidence and interview witnesses to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.” No suspects have been apprehended as of 1 PM.
This marks the second shooting this year in the City of Sheboygan Falls. Two men were shot and injured at 406 Giddings Avenue on Wednesday, June 11th. The suspect in that shooting, a 24-year-old man from Milwaukee, was arrested and charged after a high-speed chase ended on I-43 near Bayshore Mall.
