According to the company, they permanently closed the Washington Avenue car wash on Monday, June 30th. Their location in Saukville is also permanently closed. Earlier this year, the company also closed their Manitowoc and Fond du Lac locations. At that time, they told WKTS News the Sheboygan and Saukville locations would remain open.

In December 2020, Steve Benish sold his Magic Car Wash locations on Washington Avenue in Sheboygan, Calumet Avenue in Manitowoc, West Johnson Street in Fond du Lac and East Green Bay Avenue in Saukville to Zips Car Wash. "We're honored to acquire Magic's high-performing, successful stores their dedicated team members join the Zips family," said Gene Dinkens, President of Zips Car Wash. He would end up leaving the company in December 2023.
