Wellness cafe planned for Historic Grant Neighborhood
The cafe would occupy the former 3Elephants & Company storefront
SHEBOYGAN — A local entrepreneur is planning to open another business on Sheboygan’s north side.
The wellness cafe would be located at 1503 North 8th Street in the Historic Grant Neighborhood. The business will serve smoothies, wellness teas, nutritional drinks and other healthy beverages according to owner Genesis Fernandez. Currently, the storefront has been vacant since 3Elephants & Company relocated to the Taylor Heights Shopping Center earlier this year. Fernandez also owns GEDA Studio which opened in the same building in spring.
The 576-square-foot cafe would operate seven days a week from 6 AM to 2 PM. The space will be used largely as-is, with no structural renovations. Some minor improvements have been made to prepare the space for beverage services, including the installation of a small service counter and a handwashing sink.
Local businessman Toby Watson purchased the building at North 8th Street and Superior Avenue in 2018. Over the years, it had been home to Circle Insurance, Consumer Credit Counseling Service and Avid Salon.
