Spirit Halloween to open Kohler store
This will be the first Spirit Halloween store in Sheboygan County

KOHLER — Spirit Halloween will open inside the former Joann Fabrics store in the Deer Trace Shopping Center.
While no grand opening date has been announced, the retailer is planning to open in the next few weeks. This will be the first time Spirit Halloween has opened a location in Sheboygan County. Workers will earn between $11.80 and $12.05 per hour but is dependent upon qualifications and experience. Pay for the store manager tops out at $19.25 per hour.
The store will be located at 4079 Highway 28, just south of the Target store.
Spencer Gifts, the company that owns Spirit Halloween, opens stores inside vacant retail spaces. The stores typically operate for 60 to 90 days, usually opening sometime in early to mid-August and closing two or three days after Halloween.
Joann closed their 20,388-square-foot store at Deer Trace after the retailer filed for bankruptcy earlier this year. In October 2001, Michaels was the first store to open in the space. It remained there until closing in 2011 and Joann opened for business in 2012. Michaels returned to Metropolitan Sheboygan last August when they opened inside the former OfficeMax store at Memorial Plaza.
