Sheboygan DPW launches Name That Truck contest
The community is encouraged to submit their own unique truck name ideas

SHEBOYGAN — The City of Sheboygan Department of Public Works has launched the Name That Truck community contest for residents to participate in a creative opportunity to name the city’s fleet of trucks.
DPW has a large fleet of trucks and other vehicles that crews use. From garbage trucks and sweepers, to dump trucks and pick-up trucks, they’ve got just about every type of machine it takes to clean the streets, prune the trees, and improve streets. The department is asking the community to submit names for a few of their vehicles. The three primary types of trucks that need names are the garbage trucks, sweepers, and dump trucks, which also double as plow trucks during the winter months.
The community is encouraged to submit their own unique truck name ideas until August 1st.
This contest is open to all community members. The names submitted must be on topic, with nothing offensive or derogatory. Submit one name entry per each truck type. The winners will have their winning truck name featured on a vehicle, plus the opportunity to have their photo taken with the truck receiving their winning name.
