Sheboygan students to get free meals
Meals have been free since 2020 and will continue for the upcoming school year

SHEBOYGAN — The Sheboygan Area School District (SASD) has qualified once again for the Community Eligibility Provision of the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs.
This means that all enrolled students in the SASD will receive nutritious breakfast and lunch meals at no cost throughout the 2025-2026 school year.
The program is designed to improve access to healthy meals and promote student well-being by removing financial barriers for families. Every student, regardless of their household income, can benefit from the program. This ensures that no child goes hungry during school hours. Meals have been free since early 2020 through a COVID-19 waiver from the U.S. Food and Nutrition Service.
The school district aims to foster a healthy learning environment by providing students with balanced meals that contribute to their overall health and academic success. The program not only alleviates the financial burden on families but also promotes a sense of community and support within the schools.
