SHEBOYGAN — A Downtown Sheboygan sports bar has been listed for sale.
The Penn Avenue Pub, located at 827 Pennsylvania Avenue, has listed their business and building for sale. The asking price for the 1,266-square-foot building is $379,900. It was built in 1800 and is located east of the historic Jung Carriage Factory.
According to the real estate listing, the sale includes the property, business, and a upper apartment for additional income. The bar has a loyal customer base and a strong reputation in the community. The sale also includes a transferable liquor license from the City of Sheboygan. The bar was first listed for sale last summer by Century 21 Moves of Sheboygan.
The exterior of the bar has remained unchanged since a major remodel in 2002. Prior to Mark Huenink opening Penn Avenue Pub that year, the bar was known as Penn Avenue Tap and Aldag Hall. Huenink sold the bar to Casey Carr in 2005 who operated it until selling to Russell T. Gilman Jr. in 2008. His son, Doug Gilman, has operated the bar since.
Realtor Nate Nennig is representing the seller and can be reached at (920) 627-0740.
