North 25th Street closed for $2 million construction project
Buteyn-Peterson Construction of Sheboygan was awarded the $2,043,816 contract

SHEBOYGAN — North 25th Street between Superior Avenue and North Avenue in Sheboygan is closed for a months-long construction project.
According to the Department of Public Works, the work includes water main replacement, storm sewer repairs, curb repairs, concrete sidewalk repairs, and new asphalt pavement. Sections of North 25th Street were constructed in 1954 and 1974. The pavement rating for the street was a 4 out of 10 in a recent inspection.
Buteyn-Peterson Construction of Sheboygan was awarded the $2,043,816 contract.
As a result of the construction, through traffic is not allowed. Homeowners on North 25th Street will have have access to their driveways using the nearest cross street to their home. The work is scheduled to be completed in August.
The City of Sheboygan understands the inconvenience experienced during road construction and asks for the public’s patience and cooperation.
