New operator for Breaking Bread Banquet Hall
As Take Flight Enterprise continues to grow, the venue is evolving

TOWN OF WILSON — The beloved Breaking Bread Banquet Hall has a new operator.
With growing demand for high-quality, accessible event venues in Sheboygan County, Take Flight Enterprise is now operating the banquet hall at 6451 South Business Drive. The 8,000-square-foot building is still owned by Judi Fergadakis, who opened Breaking Bread in 2006. She began searching for a new operator for the venue in 2023.
With critical support and guidance from the Sheboygan County Economic Development Corporation (SCEDC) and the Small Business Development Center at UW-Green Bay, entrepreneur NiKeshia Gardner has successfully realized her vision of creating a welcoming, affordable venue where community members can celebrate life’s most important milestones.
Take Flight Enterprise offers a serene, 4-acre setting featuring a picturesque pond, charming gazebo, two indoor bar areas, and ample parking, providing the perfect backdrop for weddings, showers, birthdays, and corporate events. With a focus on affordability and inclusivity, Gardner’s mission is to make high-quality event experiences accessible to all.

"Take Flight is more than just a venue to me, it’s a dream realized, not only for myself but for the community I love," said Gardner. "I’m passionate about creating a space where people can celebrate the moments that truly matter: weddings, birthdays, graduations, retirements, those milestones that stay with you for a lifetime."
Gardner’s journey to expansion was fueled by strong local partnerships. Ray York at the SCEDC provided key business consultations, helping Gardner navigate the critical steps needed to launch and grow the new venue successfully. “Working with the SCEDC has been an incredible experience,” said Gardner. “Ray has been especially helpful, always answering my questions thoroughly and promptly. His insights have been instrumental in guiding me through this exciting new chapter.” The Small Business Development Center also offered strategic support and valuable resources along the way according to Gardner.
As Take Flight continues to grow, Gardner is evolving the venue into a full-service event destination, offering partnerships with trusted local vendors, from DJs and caterers to decorators and beauty professionals, making it easier than ever for clients to plan seamless, stress-free events. With the expansion, Take Flight Enterprise remains committed to maintaining a welcoming atmosphere, supporting local businesses, and offering discounted rates for community-driven events.
Gardner looks forward to deepening her impact and providing a beautiful, accessible space where memories truly take flight.
