Luxury homes planned in Town of Sheboygan
The farmland was rezoned to allow the construction of four homes with large lots

TOWN OF SHEBOYGAN — Hillcrest Builders received approval from the Town Plan Commission to rezone land to build luxury homes.
Oyvind Solvang, owner of Glenbeulah-based Hillcrest Builders, is proposing to build four single-family homes on 14.12-acres of land owned by Executive Capital, LLC of Mequon on Woodland Road east of Rangeline Road. The farmland would be spilt into four large lots. Solvang did not attend the Plan Commission meeting to provide additional information about his plans for the development. There was no word when construction would begin on the homes.

Two residents who live on Woodland Road did attend the June 3rd meeting and voiced concerns about flooding. Neither were against the development but were worried additional homes would create additional flooding along the stretch of road. “We really don’t have any objections to it, the biggest concern I would have is the drainage,” said David Gosse. “I am very concerned about water runoff as well,” added neighbor Jeff Bender.
Tom Holtan, the town’s Director of Public Works and Engineer, said Hillcrest Builders would be required to manage the stormwater. As part of the development, the firm would be required to submit a Stormwater Management Plan. “Hillcrest Builders has to follow our ordinance and can’t increase the runoff after its all developed.”
