Sheboygan County Board Supervisor resigns

SHEBOYGAN — Applications are being accepted to fill a vacancy on the Sheboygan County Board of Supervisors due to a resignation.
The position is for District 3, which includes two wards in the City of Sheboygan. The district was formerly represented by Kathleen Donovan, who resigned due to moving out of the district. Her home in the Near North Neighborhood was listed last month for $350,000. She was first appointed to the County Board in December 2021 and won her first election in April 2022 by defeating Lisa Salgado. She defeated Isabel Rivera in 2024 for a second term. Donovan also serves as Deacon of the LGBTQ+ First Congregational Church in Sheboygan.
A candidate must be a qualified elector and resident of the supervisory district. County Board members receive a base annual salary of $2,100. In addition, mileage reimbursement and a per diem are paid for County Board and committee meetings.
The County Board holds its regular monthly meeting on the third Tuesday of each month beginning at 6 PM at the Sheboygan County Courthouse. In addition, each Board member serves on one or more of nine committees. The County Board Chairman makes the appointment of the Supervisor, which is subject to the approval of the County Board.
