Weekly summer events in Downtown Sheboygan force closure of 8th Street
This year, the Farmers Market will extend into North 8th Street
SHEBOYGAN — Weekly events in Downtown Sheboygan this summer will impact traffic on 8th Street.
On Saturdays between 8 AM and 1 PM, North 8th Street will be closed to vehicles between Erie Avenue and Ontario Avenue for the Farmers Market at Fountain Park. According to Coordinator Jason Bump, the Farmers Market is seeking food trucks to utilize the one block stretch. The Saturday closures begin on June 7th and end on October 25th.
On Tuesdays between 4 PM and 8:30 PM, South 8th Street between Pennsylvania Avenue and South Plaza 8 for the 8th Streatery. Vehicles will be detoured by one block via the Street Swings. The street swings link southbound traffic on 9th Street to 8th Street and northbound traffic on 8th Street to 7th Street. 8th Streatery begins on Tuesday, June 10th with the last event being held on Tuesday, August 12th.
