Cemetery Walk revives Greenbush’s past
The lives of nine individuals from Greenbush’s past will be highlighted
GREENBUSH — The Friends of the Wade House are hosting a docent led walk of Greenbush Cemetery on Saturday, October 25th.
The Cemetery Walk will take place from 3 PM to 5 PM at the Greenbush Cemetery, located at 7578 Cemetery Lane. During the walk, guests will walk through time, guided by voices from the past. The lives of nine individuals from Greenbush’s past will be highlighted. The walk will include stops at the gravestones of Theodor Herrling, Sylvanus Wade, Julia Robinson, Erastus Stannard, William Hollis Wade and Dr. Frank Cary and his wife Harriet Cary.
After the cemetery walk, guests will travel to the Wade House Stagecoach Inn at W7770 Plank Road for warm apple cider and a slice of pie.
The cost is $5 person. Tickets will be available at the cemetery on the afternoon of the event beginning at 2:15 PM. Guests should arrive 30 minutes before the walk to allow for parking and walking to the gathering area at the entrance of Greenbush Cemetery. Attendees will walk about a half mile where they will encounter the gravestones.
