SHEBOYGAN — The Sheboygan A’s rolled through the weekend at EJ Schneider Field in Oshkosh, winning two of three round-robin games before shutting out Green Bay in the championship to claim the 2025 Wisconsin State League Tournament title.
Round Robin Game 1 – Sheboygan 15, West Allis 1
The A’s kicked off the tournament with an offensive outburst, routing West Allis behind 14 hits and a grand slam from Bradyn Horn.
Alex Ames launched a three-run homer in the second inning to give Sheboygan the early lead. The A’s tacked on runs in nearly every frame, with Riley Palmquist driving in one on a double before Horn’s bases-clearing blast broke the game wide open. Jason Bunton went the distance on the mound, allowing just one run over seven strong innings.

Round Robin Game 2 – Green Bay 7, Sheboygan 2
Green Bay jumped ahead early, and a three-run fourth inning proved to be the difference. The A’s briefly led in the second thanks to an error and an RBI single from Ames, but were limited to just five hits in the game. Brad Rindfleisch struck out eight in the start but was tagged with the loss after allowing seven runs, three earned.
Round Robin Game 3 – Sheboygan 4, Kenosha 3 (10 inn.)
In a back-and-forth extra-inning thriller, Calvin Keesler walked it off with a solo home run in the bottom of the 10th. The A’s built a 3-1 lead through six, including a sacrifice fly from Horn, before Kenosha tied the game on a two-run homer in the seventh. Noah Imrie worked six solid innings in the start, and Gavin Gawronski handled the final frames out of the bullpen to earn the win.
Championship Game – Sheboygan 5, Green Bay 0
Casey Stone was dominant in the title game, tossing a complete game shutout to lead the A’s to the tournament crown. Sheboygan took control in the third, scoring twice without a hit thanks to a dropped third strike and a bases-loaded walk. They added insurance in the middle innings behind timely hits from Jimmy Juergensen, Harry Steldt, Carter Kallies, and Horn. Defensively, the A’s were flawless in the field, backing Stone’s gem with clean play and strong positioning.
The A’s close out the 2025 season this week in the Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League’s Championship Series. It’s a best-of-three series, with games one and three, if necessary, at home in Sheboygan as the A’s take on the Menasha Macs for the title. Game one is Tuesday at 7:30 PM, game two will head to Menasha on Wednesday, and a possible game three will be back in Sheboygan on Thursday.
Season ticket holders will get free admission to the game in their seats. All other fans can buy tickets at their regular price.
