Is there trash pickup on Memorial Day 2025?
There will be no trash collection in the City of Sheboygan on Memorial Day
SHEBOYGAN — There will be no trash collection in the City of Sheboygan on Memorial Day.
According to the city’s Department of Public Works, trash collection will be delayed by one day. Instead of trash being collected on Monday, it will be collected on Tuesday. This means Friday’s trash will be picked up on Saturday.
The change is simply that your regularly scheduled trash collection will be the following day instead. Despite there not being trash collection on Memorial Day for decades in the City of Sheboygan, there are some residents who are still unsure. The holiday trash collection schedule also applies to the week of Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day.
The Residential Recycling Center, located at 2026 New Jersey Avenue, is closed on Memorial Day but will resume regular operating hours on Tuesday, May 27 for residents to drop-off certain items not collected at the curbside.
