Brat Days Parade cancelled for 2025
The scaled down festival at Kiwanis Park is a one-day only event this year

SHEBOYGAN — There will be no Brat Days Parade in Sheboygan in August.
The Sheboygan Jaycees, the organizer of annual festival, confirmed there will be no Brat Days Parade on Saturday, August 2nd. “There isn't a parade this year,” said Sarah Schwefel, when asked about the status of the event. She serves as the Treasurer for the Friends of the Sheboygan Jaycees. Beyond a simple “No Parade for 2025” message on their website, the Jaycees did not respond to WKTS News request for further information on why the parade was cancelled.
This will be the third year the Brat Days Parade was cancelled. There was no festival or parade in 2020 due to COVID. And in 2023, there was no event to celebrate the festival’s 70th anniversary. The Jaycees organized the inaugural Bratwurst Day on August 14th, 1953 in Downtown Sheboygan.
This year, the scaled down festival at Kiwanis Park is a one-day only event. The first band takes to the Main Stage at 11 AM. The Jaycees are seeking contestants for the Brat Eating Contest. There will be carnival rides for children.
